We have the pleasure to organize the First Aquality Symposium from 23 to 27 April 2018 in the context of the European Marie Curie ITN project Aquality. It includes a summer school from 25 to 27 April designed for graduate and PhD students, post-doctorants and any scientists to acquire or refresh his knowledge in fundamental photochemistry applied to the pollution abatement in the environment and in water treatments. This summer school will be an ideal opportunity for participants to meet colleagues in the field.

 

Program

During the three days, the main focus will be given on

-          Fundamental photochemistry and direct photolysis

-          Role of iron species in the environment and AOPs

-          Role of NOM in the fate of micropollutants

Invited speakers: Pr G. Abbt-Braun (Karlsruher Institut für Technologie), Pr A. Bianco-Prevot (Università degli Studi di Torino), Pr M. Marin (Universitat Politècnica de València).

Two open sessions will be available for short communications by the participants.

This Summer School give 3 ECTs to doctorants.

 

Venue

Clermont-Ferrand is located in Auvergne. The natural environment around the city is exceptional with diversity of landscapes and the unique volcanic landscape, in particular the beauty spots of the puy de Dôme (giant among Auvergne’s volcanoes). Clermont-Ferrand is also famous for its very special black stone architecture in the old city center.

 

Registration

The number of participants is limited to 50.

Price: 200 €  for the three days and 100 €  for one day including lunches, coffee-breaks and documents
